Carrigan Farms in Mooresville, North Carolina, prioritizes safety for all quarry visitors. If you're 12 or older and eager to dive into the quarry's clear waters without a life jacket, you'll need to pass the Carrigan Farms swim test. This test evaluates your swimming endurance, stroke quality, and comfort in the water. If you pass, you'll receive a wristband that allows you to swim without a life jacket.

However, safety remains paramount. Lifeguards can revoke swimming privileges if they deem it necessary. For children under 12, or those who prefer it, life jackets are mandatory and provided in all sizes. After all, the ultimate goal at Carrigan Farms Quarry is to ensure a safe, fun-filled experience for all.

Rope Swing

One of the standout attractions is the thrilling rope swing, a must-try for adventure seekers. To ensure safety, visitors looking to experience the rope swing must meet certain requirements - they need to be at least 54 inches tall and able to perform a pull-up. However, if heights aren't your preference, guests can leisurely wade into the cool waters and enjoy swimming at their own pace.
